Feedback made Eas(IeR).
Feedback should feel easy — not scattered, confusing, or buried in email threads. When you leave comments directly inside Webflow, our team can act quickly, avoid duplicate notes, and keep everything organized in one place.
This guide walks you through how to leave clear, helpful feedback so revisions move smoothly and efficiently.
What Comments Are (and Why They Matter)
Webflow’s comment feature allows you to leave feedback directly on specific elements within the design canvas. That means your note stays connected to exactly what you’re referencing.
Instead of saying “the button halfway down the page,” you can pin your comment directly to that button.
Comments create clarity. Clarity speeds things up.
How to Leave a Comment (Step-by-Step)
Here’s the simplest way to leave effective feedback:
1. Open Comment Mode
Click the “View Comments” icon in the top toolbar or press C on your keyboard. This activates comment mode and shows any existing feedback.
2. Click Where Your Feedback Applies
Click directly on the element you’re referencing. Be precise. The more accurate the pin placement, the easier it is for us to understand what needs attention.
3. Write Your Comment
Share what you’re seeing, what feels off (if anything), and what you’d like adjusted. If possible, explain why.
4. Post It
Click “Post,” or press Command + Return (Mac) or Control + Return (Windows).
What Makes Feedback Helpful
The goal is clarity, not volume.
Be Specific
Instead of:
“This looks off.”
Try:
“The spacing between these buttons feels tighter than the section above. Can we increase the vertical padding to match?”
Specific notes eliminate guesswork.
Our Best Practices
To keep projects moving smoothly:
• Be precise with pins
• Be clear with requests
• Explain the outcome you’re aiming for
• Resolve threads as updates are completed
• Keep communication centralized in the platform
When feedback is organized, projects move faster- and revisions feel lighter for everyone involved.
At the end of the day, this is a collaborative process. The more you share, the better the end result becomes.
Don’t hold back your thoughts. If something excites you, tell us. If something feels off, tell us that too. Big feelings, small tweaks, half-formed ideas — it’s all helpful. We’d much rather hear what you’re thinking in real time than try to guess later.
Have fun exploring the site. Click around. React naturally. Leave notes as they come to you.
And if you ever feel unsure about how to leave feedback or what to say, just reach out. We’re here for it- and for you.
